Things are looking good with my new Peregrines!

This new pair of birds that I've found near Bewdley appear to be doing everything right so far. The nest is facing north east which I understand to be perfect for them!

The male perches near by for a large part of the day keeping a close eye on his mate who is sitting on the nest. He can be seen chasing off any potential predators when he deems necessary and it's also a chance for him to loosen up a bit and have a fly round. Only this morning he saw off what looked like another Peregrine or it may have been a Hobby I'm not sure. Unfortunately I couldn't get a shot of the action as it was obscured by trees.

From what I'm told by the local farmer I imagine the eggs should be due to hatch any minute so I'm keeping a close eye on things now for the next few days. The male tried to get the female to come off the eggs so that he could do his bit this morning but she was having none of it! My granddaughter Sofia has already seen them yesterday with me and wants to go there straight from school tonight (she definitely takes after her Granddad).

His favourite perch
Taking flight to see of a predator
He wants to do some sitting but she refuses to budge
Feeling rejected he goes to a different perch and does a bit of preening
